Veterans Day 2010 - Was celebrated again this year at the Community Center - Veterans Park in the center of Ridgefield. A crowd of over two hundred was on hand to listen to our featured speaker Dr. Henry Seeman. A Ridgefield native, Dr. Henry Seeman joined the Navy right out of High School and was assigned to a light helicopter attack squadron in the Republic of Viet Nam. As one of the first gunners and Crew Chiefs he flew more that 350 combat missions and over 700 combat hours. For his valiant service Henry is the recipient of 18 Air Medals, the Navy Commendation with Combat "V", Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, the National Defense Medal and the Viet Nam Campaign Medal amongst others. After his tour of duties Henry went to college and became a Dentist, practicing in his hometown for the past twenty-eight years.
After the ceremony Mr. & Mrs. Prial and volunteers as well as Cub Scout Pack 74 served coffee and homemade baked goods.
